چکیده
The use of expanded clay aggregate (ECA) for developing lightweight concrete results in strength-reduction properties. However, the ECA-based strength properties can be improved by adding steel fibre (SF), glass mesh (GFM) and multi-walled nano-carbon tubes (MWCNT). combined effect MWCNT, GFM, SF its is still unexplored. It worth drawing a logical conclusion concerning impact on incorporating materials mentioned above. Two-stage fibrous (TECAFC) new type an emerging research area material engineering. casting method TECAFC includes two essential phases as follows. First, ECA fibres are filled into empty cylindrical mould to develop natural skeleton. Second, grout comprising cement, sand injected developed skeleton fill voids. In this research, eight mixtures were prepared with 0.1 0.2% 2.5% dosage three different layers GFM inserted between concrete. These divided series each, addition reference that include no or GFM. first was comprised 0.1% MWCNT one, insertion. second same taken 0.2%. All specimens tested under drop mass per suggestions made ACI Committee 544. test showed cracking failure resistance more than 270 1100%, respectively, increased ductility index 220%, significantly contributing fibres.
